Wittgenstein's (Late) Writings
At the end of 1936, Ludwig Wittgenstein abandoned the Brown Book and started work on the Philosophical Investigations. This website provides transcriptions and facsimiles of his writings from 1937–1951, all the way up to Wittgenstein's death in 1951, when he was working on manuscripts that were later published as On Certainty.
This website presents a fragment of Wittgenstein's Nachlass and prioritizes readability over a strict reproduction of the manuscript layout. It is not a diplomatic edition: Line breaks, underlining, and textual variants have been normalized. It is meant to complement the work of the Wittgenstein Archives Bergen, which maintain the authoritative edition of Wittgenstein's entire Nachlass.
